Full Circle.
Ten years later, and now I am coming back to the stage.
There is something powerful about full circle moments.
The kind of moments that make you pause, look back, and realize that the road you have been walking was preparing you long before you fully understood where it was taking you.
If I am being honest, I never imagined I would return like this.
A decade ago, I walked across the stage at Early College of Forsyth with a vision, a little uncertainty, and a whole lot of belief in what was possible. I did not know exactly how everything would come together. I did not know all the doors that would open, all the challenges I would have to face, or all the moments that would require me to keep choosing faith, discipline, and purpose.
I only knew I had to keep going.
That season of my life did more than prepare me academically. It shaped me. It taught me how to think with discipline, lead with intention, and move through the world with a sense of responsibility. Early College of Forsyth gave me more than a diploma. It gave me a foundation.
A foundation for becoming.
A foundation for leadership.
A foundation for believing that possibility was not reserved for other people.
And now, ten years later, I have the honor of returning as the 2026 Commencement Speaker for Early College of Forsyth.
Ten years.
Ten years of growth.
Ten years of becoming.
Ten years of building, learning, failing forward, trying again, and discovering what it really means to lead with purpose.
When I think about this moment, I do not just think about the title or the invitation. I think about the younger version of me who stood at the beginning of his journey, carrying dreams that were bigger than his understanding at the time. I think about the teachers, mentors, classmates, family, and community that poured into me. I think about the moments when I was unsure, but kept moving anyway.
And I think about the Class of 2026.
The students who are now standing where I once stood.
Full of promise.
Full of questions.
Full of possibility.
To the Class of 2026, I am coming home to pour into you the same way this institution poured into me. I am coming back to remind you that your story is still unfolding, that your future is still calling, and that the road ahead, even when uncertain, is still worth walking with courage.
This is more than a speaking engagement.
It is a reminder that seeds grow.
That preparation matters.
That the places that shape us often call us back, not just to remember who we were, but to serve those who are becoming.
Grateful.
Honored.
Ready.
Full circle.
